Manuela Muttoni represents foreign businesses (primarily Italian and European corporate entities) in a wide variety of corporate matters and commercial transactions. In addition to assisting foreign corporate clients with the successful establishment of their businesses in the United States, Ms. Muttoni advises both corporations and individuals on compliance with immigration laws of the United States, as she focuses part of her practice on immigration-related and visa matters. In particular, Ms. Muttoni works on non-immigrant petitions for treaty investors and traders, workers in professional and specialty occupations, and intra-company transferees.

Ms. Muttoni also negotiates and drafts commercial agreements, such as consignment, distribution, sales representative, service, consulting, and employment agreements for employees, as well as privacy policies, terms of use and service for IT and other corporate entities.

Ms. Muttoni has experience in assisting clients with regulatory compliance with import laws, in particular. Ms. Muttoni represents foreign corporations wishing to import food and alcoholic beverages into the United States and assists these clients during all steps of the licensing process, both at the Federal and State level. Ms. Muttoni also advises clients on the compliance of the anti-money laundering laws and regulations, specifically as applied to the high-end jewelry industry.

Prior to joining Herzfeld + Rubin, Ms. Muttoni was an associate with a corporate and commercial litigation law firm in Milan, Italy where she focused her practice on general corporate law and litigating several civil and employment matters before the Courts in Milan.

Ms. Muttoni is fluent and works in the English and Italian languages on a daily basis. She is also proficient in German and has a good knowledge of the French language.
