A seasoned litigator, Mr. Weiner leverages his deep experience and a common-sense approach to deliver superior results for clients. Having served as lead defense counsel on over fifty lawsuits, Mr. Weiner is able to assess cases in their early stages in order to craft trial-focused strategies that are effective, efficient, and innovative.
Mr. Weiner has been involved in every phase of litigation including taking and defending fact and expert depositions, preparing and arguing key motions, negotiating with opposing counsel, and trying cases. In his previous role as a senior counsel at the New York City Law Department, Mr. Weiner secured multiple defense jury verdicts on behalf of NYC and its employees as first-chair trial counsel. He also trained junior attorneys and developed and taught a department-wide seminar on advanced discovery techniques. Mr. Weiner was recognized for litigation excellence with the Law Department’s Division Chief Award in 2019.
Mr. Weiner began his career at one of the world’s largest law firms in its litigation department. There, he worked on complex and high-stakes product liability cases and commercial arbitrations. He also obtained favorable results for the firm’s pro bono clients, including a grant of asylum in favor of a political refugee and increased reparation payments on behalf of Holocaust survivors.
