Protection and Litigation
Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. works with companies to develop policies and
procedures that enable them to avoid costly, protracted litigation in the
areas of employee rights, discrimination and harassment claims and other
labor law violations. The Firm has a broad range of experience in connection
with claims arising from discrimination based on race, sex, age, national
origin and marital status, as well as claims made under the Americans with
Disabilities Act, ERISA law and regulations and with respect to claimed
violation of civil rights. Our attorneys represent clients before the EEOC,
the Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board and other
administrative tribunals, including various state and city employment
relation boards.
Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. represents both individuals and companies in
employment contract negotiations and agreements. The Firm can also be relied
upon for forceful litigation of employment contract disputes that have not
been amenable to resolution through negotiation, mediation or arbitration.
The Firm advises on and performs all legal services in connection with the
formulation, implementation and administration of pension and profit-sharing
plans and other deferred compensation plans, including, when necessary, the
termination of such plans. The Group assists our clients in implementing
qualified and non-qualified stock option plans, including employee stock
ownership plans (ESOPs). In this area, the Firm's services include planning,
negotiating and drafting executive compensation packages and executive
employment agreement, incentive stock option plans and other ERISA matters.
The Firm also represents municipalities in pension and 401(k) matters.
