Interdisciplinary and Indispensable

The Bankruptcy and Creditors Rights Group by necessity takes an interdisciplinary approach. It works closely with lawyers from the Firm's Real Estate, Corporate and Litigation Groups to form an efficient and cost-effective team tailored to meet the specific requirements of each matter.

As always, extensive experience counts. The Bankruptcy and Creditors Rights Group has dealt with secured and unsecured creditors, trustees, financially distressed businesses, landlords, lessees, asset or business purchasers in bankruptcies, and loan restructuring transactions. The Group's expertise applies as well to lending liability law and litigation, Federal bankruptcy law and state laws governing debtor-creditor relations and rights.

The Firm has been involved in structuring and documenting transactions subject to Bankruptcy Court approval, judicially approved settlement agreements, and consensual forbearance and workout agreements. Moreover, the Firm has extensive creditors' rights litigation experience, including lawsuits to enforce monetary obligations and guarantees, foreclosure, replevin and other judicial actions.
