Roger Arentzen studied International Relations at Syracuse University and international law at Rutgers University law school. In private practice, he has advised European, Central American, South American, and North American corporate counsel and corporate personnel holding management and representative positions in complex product liability and corporate matters.

For more than 35 years, he has advised clients and pre-eminent trial lawyers throughout the United States in scores of successful product liability trials and appeals, specializing in sophisticated analysis of procedural and substantive law applied to complex issues of mechanical, metallurgical, and electronic engineering and neurological, orthopedic and other medical data. He has developed a practice of crafting creative, cost-effective, and sound strategies for the overall structure and substance of the litigation combining a detailed command of subject matter with all aspects of discovery and motion practice, witness examination and document analysis, preparation of corporate representatives and experts to present testimony, and drafting of pre-trial, trial and appellate briefs.

As counsel to a foreign manufacturer and a domestic service corporation, in addition to matters in arbitration or litigation, he has advised on risk mitigation; drafted corporate comments on federal regulatory rulemaking pertaining to product design performance and corporate responses to state and federal regulatory compliance inquiries; and has advised on federal regulatory pricing requirements pertaining to the availability of technology, parts and equipment to non-franchisees. With respect to distribution network issues, he has advised on such matters as the laws of various states pertaining to manufacturer licensing requirements; importer/distributor/dealer agreement compliance and due diligence; franchise law requirements pertaining to the establishment, relocation, and termination of franchise agreements, product transit damage requirements; and product warranty reimbursement practices. He has given advice and drafted product user and warranty manuals, chattel loan agreements, and employment and independent contractor agreements.

Roger Arentzen is a member of the New York State Bar Association, International Law Section, and the American Society of International Law.
