"Mike" Cordrey is a litigator experienced in trials,
arbitrations and appeals. His practice focuses primarily on
the defense of premises liability, product liability, fire
damage disputes, construction accidents and professional
liability including architect and engineering malpractice
and errors and omissions litigation. He handles insurance
coverage disputes and occasionally commercial, real estate,
and title insurance suits. Finally, he works on a limited
number of select plaintiff's cases.
Mike began his career as a trial attorney in the New York
County District Attorney's Office where he worked his way up
to the Homicide Division. He has practiced as a civil trial
lawyer for over 20 years. He has tried over 45 cases to
verdict, been involved in hundreds of arbitrations and
mediations and has argued appeals before the 2nd Circuit
Court of Appeals, The New York Court of Appeals and the
Appellate Division as well.

Appellate Courts and New York Jury Verdict Reports include: Buckley v.
Columbia Grammar School, 44 A.D. 2d 263 (1st Dept, 2007),
Tworek v. Mutual Housing Assoc, 1 A.D.3d 588 (2nd Dept., 2000);
Olsen v. James Miller Marine Serv. et al, 16 A.D.3d 169 (1st
Dept., 2005);Felice
v. Block 2829 Realty Corp and Community Preservation Corp, Giordano v.
462-464 Broome Street, Thomas v. Hotel Roosevelt, Maffei-Pikul v.
Staten Island Zoological Society, Inc., D’Alessio v. D&E Architects
and Vagiopolos v. Southside Hotel et al and Santa and his Elves.
Mike is admitted to the bar in the State of New York, the
Southern, Eastern and New Jersey District Courts and the
Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the
Defense Association of New York and the Defense Research
Institute (arbitration and products liability committees)
and has written several articles on premises liability,
civil procedure and products liability.
