Keith A. Frederick is an associate with the New York office
of Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. He practices in the firm’s litigation group. He
has experience covers a broad range of topics, including electronic
discovery, commercial litigation and insurance coverage.
He currently concentrates on products liability, class actions and
commercial litigation.
Mr. Frederick is a graduate of the Hofstra University School of Law, where
he was an associate editor of the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal.
He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York
at Stony Brook. Upon receiving his Juris Doctor, he went on to study
Civil Law (Bürgerliches Recht) at Humboldt University in Berlin,
Germany, focusing on commercial and corporate law. His thesis explored
remedies for defrauded shareholders afforded by the ZPO. In 2001, he was
awarded his LL.M. magna cum laude. Thereafter, he worked as a Foreign
Attorney in the Berlin office of Gleiss Lutz Hootz Hirsch, RAe, until
returning to the United States in 2002.
Mr. Frederick subsequently worked as an associate at a Melville, NY firm, where he
was engaged primarily in the areas of insurance coverage and commercial
litigation. Over the past several years, he has been involved in the
discovery phase of several large federal securities fraud cases, gaining
expertise in the area of electronic document production and review.
Mr. Frederick was admitted to the New York Bar in 2001, and has also been
admitted to the bar in New Jersey, the District of Columbia and Florida
(currently inactive). He is admitted to practice in U.S. District Courts in
the Southern District of New York and the District of New Jersey. Mr.
Frederick is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the
German-American Lawyers Association (GALA/DAJV). He speaks fluent German.
