Jeffrey L. Chase specializes in complex civil litigation
including products liability, consumer protection, personal
injury defense, excess
insurance coverage, mass tort, class actions and commercial
litigation. He has tried cases involving a variety of
product liability claims on behalf of major corporate
defendants and has served as lead counsel in class action
and mass tort cases. His many achievements include a leading
role in the successful defense of Repetitive Stress Injury
cases against the computer industry. He has also served as
regional counsel for product liability defendants.
Mr. Chase has lectured and authored on evidentiary and
procedural issues, litigation strategy and scientific
evidence. He was Chairman of the Products Liability
Committee for the New York County Lawyers Association and is
a Sustaining Member of the Products Liability Advisory
Council. He was also a member of the ABA’s Task Force on
Conflicts of Law. He is a graduate of Brown University and
Brooklyn Law School, cum laude. He served as an
Editor of the Brooklyn Law Review.
He has received the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell,
and was also selected as a New York Super Lawyer in 2007 and
2008.
