Charles A. Crum is a litigator specializing in complex
commercial matters, with extensive experience including
cases involving contracts, real estate, corporate law,
fraud, bankruptcy, antitrust and securities law. Charles
practices in the federal and state courts, and also engages
in the arbitration and mediation of disputes. He has
received the highest rating from Martindale Hubbell.
Charles graduated with distinction from Cornell Law School
in 1967, where he was Note Editor of the Cornell Law
Review. He received a B.A. degree with Honors in French
from Wesleyan University in 1964.
Between stints as a litigator in New York, he served as
Legal Advisor to the Tanzania Investment Bank in Dar es
Salaam, Tanzania, overseeing the use of funds from the World
Bank and other international lending institutions for
development purposes.
Charles was admitted to practice in the New York State
courts in 1968, in the United States District Court for the
Southern District of New York in 1973, in the United States
Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in 1979, and in the
United States District Court for the Eastern District of New
York in 1997.
