Anja Wiesenberg practices in the Real Estate Department of
Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. with a focus on commercial and
residential real estate sales and acquisitions, development,
permanent and construction loan financing and leasing matters.
She has represented national and international developers in
the creation of joint ventures to acquire and operate real
estate, obtain construction and project loan financing and
served as counsel to various cooperative and condominium boards
in New York City. Over the past 15 years, Ms. Wiesenberg has
represented building owners and developers in the acquisition
and disposition of office and apartment buildings, industrial
manufacturing facilities, parking garages and shopping centers
as well as represented clients in residential real estate
transactions, including coops and condominiums. Her practice
also includes representation of developers in condominium and
cooperative conversions from formation, including ground lease
coops, to sponsor unit sales and the negotiation of office,
restaurant and retail leases in mixed use condominium buildings.
Ms. Wiesenberg is a native German speaker from Cologne,
Germany, also fluent in French. She received her law degree from
Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia, PA, in 1993 and
graduated from Oberlin College, OH, in 1990 with a Bachelor of
Arts degree in comparative literature. She is admitted to
practice in New York (1994) and Pennsylvania (1993) and U.S.
District Court, Eastern District of New York (1998). She is a
member of the New York State Bar Association and the American
Foreign Law Association.
