Andrew M. Roher specializes in complex litigation with an
emphasis on insurance coverage, indemnification, subrogation,
declaratory judgment insurance actions, premises liability, and
New York Labor Law. He routinely analyzes contracts and
insurance policies to assess insurance coverage issues and to
recommend an appropriate litigation strategy for clients and
insurance carriers. He has managed the defense of mass tort
insurance claims related to asbestos, environmental, and product
liability coverage. He routinely drafts motions for
indemnification and declaratory judgment insurance actions.
Prior to joining Herzfeld & Rubin, Mr. Roher served as
Assistant General Counsel for a subsidiary of America’s largest
insurance holding company. He managed in-house commercial
litigation, negotiated service contracts with insurance
carriers, and researched and advised management regarding
regulatory matters. He performed all aspects of claims handling
including insurance coverage analysis.
Mr. Roher has a Bachelor Of Science degree in applied
mathematics and statistics from the State University of New York
at Stony Brook. He worked as an actuary and financial analyst
prior to attending evening law school at St. John’s University.
He utilizes his mathematical skills and background in the
practice of insurance-related law.
Mr. Roher is admitted to the Bar in the State of New York. He
is also admitted to the Bar in Federal District Court.
