Arlene E. Lewis

Arlene E. Lewis is an associate of the firm and practices in the Real Estate and Tort Litigation Practice Groups. Ms. Lewis represents clients in mortgage foreclosure, commercial real estate litigation and commercial and residential landlord-tenant matters. Additionally, she defends clients in matters involving personal injury, premises liability, labor law and motor vehicle accidents. Ms. Lewis is skilled in all phases of pre-trial discovery and motion practice.

Prior to joining Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C., Ms. Lewis practiced as an associate at Emmet, Marvin & Martin, LLP, where she focused on real estate finance and commercial leasing. She previously served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel, then Senior Counsel for the City of New York, Office of the Corporation Counsel, where she represented the City in real estate-related tax enforcement litigation matters and defended the City’s interests in tax certiorari and condemnation proceedings.

Ms. Lewis is a member of the New York State Bar Association, the New York City Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Ms. Lewis is a graduate of Colgate University (A.B., 1994) and Fordham University School of Law (J.D., 1999). She is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia. Ms. Lewis is also admitted to the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
