Arlene E. Lewis is an associate with the New York
office of Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C. Her practice focuses on
real estate development and finance, the acquisition and
disposition of real property and commercial leasing.
Prior to joining Herzfeld & Rubin, P.C., Ms. Lewis practiced
as an associate at Emmet, Marvin & Martin, LLP where she
focused on real estate finance and commercial leasing. She
previously served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel, then
Senior Counsel for the City of New York, Office of the
Corporation Counsel, where she represented the City in tax
enforcement proceedings and defended the City's interests in
tax certiorari and condemnation proceedings.
Ms. Lewis is a member of the Committee on Condemnation and
Tax Certiorari of the Association of the Bar of the City of
New York. She is also a member of the New York State Bar
Association and the American Bar Association.
Ms. Lewis is a graduate of Colgate University (A.B., 1994)
and Fordham University School of Law (J.D., 1999), and is
admitted to practice in the State of New York and in the
Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
